AYD Metro2 was founded in 2001 starting from the reorganization of several companies with more than 25 years experience in the field of decorating and DIY. The company has therefore a long career in dealing, clear direction toward the customers and the initial goal of taking the opportunities afforded us by the spanish carpets market .
The company is located on the north coast of Spain in the city of Gijon, with excellent communications network, terrestrial, marine, and air. Most national transport agencies operate in our locality. Our port, El Musel, has several container lines that connect us directly with our suppliers and customers overseas. This allows us to easily perform the procurement of raw materials and distributing our products nationally and internationally.
Our facilities for warehousing, manufacturing and administration, covering an area exceeding 4,000 square meters. Inaugurated in 2002, are in a modern industrial location, the polygone of Somonte, near the center of Gijón, Highway, at the port of El Musel only 30 km. the airport.
Several factors have contributed to our growth since our founding: continued investment in machinery, qualified and motivated staff, exclusivity agreements with major producers of polypropylene and polyamide carpeting worldwide, the vast range of products offered, close ties with the customers, strict monitoring of orders and inventory, and delivery of the finished product at the agreed time.
The constant effort to meet the needs of our customers has made us evolve from a strictly commercial to turn in a company that transforms and finishes its own products. That was the goal that the company had set for the short term, given the lack of supply of these characteristics in the domestic market. We find it in the support and exclusivity of the raw materials from leading manufacturers, as mentioned previously. We get an exclusive product so that we both wholesale and retail customers, not to mention other actors in the market such as commission or Cataloguers among others. This large client is possible because we are in position to offer customized solutions in design, shape, color and size for our lead product, the loungers and carpet made of polyamide. This competitive advantage over our competitors make us a benchmark in our market.
We complement our product portfolio with nylon and polypropylene mats, shaggies, viscose rugs, Chinese rugs and a wide range of coir mats and rubber mats, carpeting and more. Significantly, both for our products like viscose polyamide, are pioneers in offering loungers and carpets in different sizes to match.
Thanks to the above investments, we have reached a production structure that allows us to supply not only the Spanish market but also offer our products outside our borders. In this sense we have moved from sporadic sales abroad to have loyal customers in countries like Portugal, France, Italy, Morocco and the Dominican Republic..
